Girls' Day Out at Yankee Candle Factory Wmsburg

One thing about my girls that I find amusing is that when two are gathered, the third one wants to be there. So when Jennie came to Williamsburg to visit Megan while Andrew and I were there for a few days, Rebekah wanted to join us. Her sisters were also begging her to come so she braved the hot temperatures and brought Cora along. So with Cora in tow, we headed for the Yankee Candle Factory which is almost within sight of Megan's house. This was our first official girls' day out with all the sisters and Cora. As we entered, we discovered from their clock that Christmas is only 131 days away!

To our delight, we found that Santa was there in his Hawaiian shirt to see who was being naughty and nice. Of course, we all said nice. Then little miss Cora had her first visit with Santa. She sat quietly in his lap at his desk.

Cora was being so good for Santa, that he took her to his big chair for more photos. She was very content talking to him. He told her that Mrs. Santa was in Virginia Beach with one of the elves for a day at the ocean. Look at those red crocs, and his shirt has Santas on surf boards.

As I took the last picture, he asked me if he was going to be on Facebook tonight. Funny Santa! He knows Grammie too well!

Next we took a walk through the Christmas room, where it snows every four minutes. The girls lined up on the bridge for this cute photo. Cora is still hanging in there!

The big girls were a little reluctant about the next part of the fun, but they humored me and my camera as they posed behind the cutouts with their beautiful faces poking through the holes. Rebekah is a knight.

Jennie and Megan are gingerbread men.

And guess who the princess is!

Cora was a little distracted by the children playing nearby. We decided to head to the toy room.

There I found a queen's hat which looked adorable on Cora. She seemed to like it a lot and was still cooperating with Grammie's camera obsession. How cute is that?

Then we found the tiara and boa! Cora wasn't as thrilled with that costume but she still let us all play with her like a doll.

Somehow, she got the boa too close to her mouth so at that point, she decided she was done playing dress up for a while.

To end on a good note, Rebekah and Cora posed with the toy soldier. As we left the Yankee Candle Factory, I had to giggle at how successful our photo session was, how four grown adults managed to have so much fun, and how cooperative our little two month old had been.
