Busch Gardens Date Night with Andrew and Megan and Grand Funk Railroad

Andrew and I will be married 33 years on Friday, the 20th. So we decided to take a little break by heading to Williamsburg to go to Busch Gardens and the Grand Funk Railroad concert. Andrew first saw the band when he was 17 years old, which was quite a while ago. And we had not done the Busch Gardens thing since before the girls were born. Megan, who lives in the Burg, joined us for the evening while Forrest was at work.

We started the evening at FestHaus for a German dinner while we watched the singers and dancers.

After a 3-D ride in the Haunted Castle, we went to the Grand Funk concert. When the guys came out on stage, Megan said, "Those guys are old!" And they were....the band has been together since 1968.

After the concert, we walked around the park and caught the acrobatic show in Italy. The acrobats weren't Italian. They were all Asian, which might be why they were wearing the masks.

We ended the night with a grand fireworks display! By then, we had been at the park for 7 hours and our feet were killing us! Although we had tons of fun, we were very excited to catch the trolley back to the parking lot.
